Family Fun Weekend

Come and celebrate BC Mining Month at the Britannia Mine Museum.  Featuring temporary mineral exhibits, interactive 3D visual mining technology, photo booth, drilling demos and much more. 

Family Fun Weekend Activities 

• 3D Augmented Reality Experience
  New for 2019! Explore one of Canada's mines with an incredible augmented reality experience -- presented by Minerva Intelligence. 
• Finning Mining Equipment
  Do you like big trucks? Get up close and personal with trucks that make mining possible.
• Displays & Hands-on Activities
  Below BC is back with rocks, mineral and fossils from around BC and the rest of the world. Engage with enthusiastic and knowledgeable geoscientists.
• Photo Booth
  Double Shutter Photography will be on-site to capture fun family photos. Dress up in an array of fun and quirky costumes.
• Fossil Display
  Brennan Marten (The Paleo Dude) will be sharing his impressive fossil collection with visitors.
• Competition Rock
  Marshal -- who lived and worked at the Mine -- will be on-site speaking about the life and times of miners.
